It isn’t every day that we get a customer as special as Jocelyn. Fighting a terminal cancer diagnosis, one of Jocelyn’s biggest bucket list wishes was to go tandem skydiving. She recently joined us at our Wollongong drop zone, where tandem instructor Biggsy and the team were able to make this wish come true.
Jocelyn had the following to say about her skydiving experience:
“My jump exceeded all expectations – the experience left me quite literally unable to express my happiness. I could not put into words how much I appreciated Biggsy’s professionalism; he made me feel completely at ease and we had a landing that was as gentle as if he’d assisted me in sitting in a soft chair. I cannot say how much I appreciated him making my dream come true!”
At Skydive Australia, our aim is to ensure that everyone who comes by a drop zone is able to have an incredible tandem skydiving experience, especially for those who thought skydiving wasn’t possible for them. Thanks to a special leg harness, we are able to give those with limited mobility the chance to go skydiving!
In Jocelyn’s own words:
“If there is anyone out there that has mobility/health issues and thinks it may preclude them from skydiving, please check with Skydive Australia, because the staff were really incredibly helpful in making this happen for me. I actually felt no fear at all and Biggsy was so in control and gentle that had I felt any qualms, I’m 100% sure he would’ve still made the experience exceptional.
There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to express how I felt during my experience. Thank you to all at Skydive Australia and special shout out to Biggsy for making my experience perfect in every way!”
