According to his website, Alex Noble is ‘without doubt, one of Australia’s most inspiring 18 year olds’. After having welcomed Alex to our Wollongong drop zone for a tandem skydive recently, we couldn’t agree more!
In October 2018, Alex was training with the Under-17 NSW Rugby Sevens youth selection squad when the unthinkable happened. At just 16 years old, Alex was tragically injured on the field, breaking his neck and severely damaging his spinal cord, ultimately becoming a C4 quadriplegic.
Faced with a massive battle ahead of him, Alex vowed to never give up, and he’s stayed true to his word. He spent over seven months in rehab, working extremely hard to learn how to adjust to his new life, and regain function and movement in his limbs.
Alex was, and still is, determined to not let his injury affect his ability to live his life to the fullest, and when we found out that Alex was keen to go skydiving for the first time, we jumped at the chance to help his dream become a reality.
Alex joined us at our Wollongong location in March 2021, and brought along some mates to join him in the skies, including his brother Zac. With the help of the amazing crew at the drop zone and tandem instructor Kip, we were stoked to be able to give Alex the experience of a lifetime!
